This session explores what modern health leadership demands and how practice managers can recognise and build on the leadership capability they already have.
Hosted by the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM), this session is for practice managers, operations managers and emerging leaders in general practice and primary care who are ready to move from managing a practice to leading one.
Learning outcomes
understand the shift from operational management to strategic health leadership
identify the leadership skills practice managers already use, often without naming them as such
explore pathways for formal recognition and development, including ACHSM credentialing
build confidence to engage with boards, clinicians and executive teams as a leader, not just an administrator.
