Pathlab recall - 70ml formalin pots

Pathlab is recalling three batches of 70ml formalin pots due to possible contamination from foreign material, which could affect histology specimens.

Affected batch numbers: 736458, 736459 and 736460.

Practices are asked to check all stock, including treatment rooms, procedure areas and storage. Also:

• remove affected pots from use immediately

• return them to Pathlab via the usual courier system

• make sure all staff collecting histology specimens are aware of the recall.

Pathlab is arranging urgent replacement stock.
